Here’s me Playing Outside

Ted at the Park

I’m free from the kitchen!

I’m eleven weeks old now and a very happy puppy (most of the time) by that I have been known to go in a mood when the chicken stops. What the trainers on YouTube didn’t tell him is I would get a bit obsessed with chicken, thinking it could be coming any time, sitting and lying down in the hope it might spring a bit of chicken from his clutching hand. He even wonders if it’s cruel to make me think about it all the time, what do you think? Let me know in comments

He changed that by making the treats games instead or something not chicken that I like …what else do I like?…chicken…chicken…oh…treats as well…fetch…tug…visit the balcony…visit his office…hugs and praise… So by changing his treats for me it helped me to understand a bit more that it’s not all about chicken …chicken…where is it?…

What else does he do? He tires me out with fetch and tug and boy it’s more fun outside. He’s been good in that he doesn’t let me pee or poo on the balcony because, he said, he doesn’t want to be having a barbecue with all the friends and family around and I decide it’s time to add my own aroma, right in front of everyone, to the mix of exciting smells coming from the sizzling chicken fire. Fair point I thought but I can only imagine what the great outdoors will bring.

So now that I’m eleven weeks old, what can I do? The latest being no jumping, roll over and leave it alone. I mean he had a huge bit of chicken on the floor and it was no time before I was leaving it alone. I understand some of his words too, my favourite being “Training” cos it sometimes means chicken …where is it?…in  his hand?… Jumping on the other hand is difficult for him cos I hardly jump when he has treats cos he’s got me too busy sitting, lying down and rolling over

Play fetch, sit, lie down, stay, release, roll over, wait at doors, look him in the eye, leave it alone, play with children and it’d easier without distractions but I’m getting there

I was born on the 27th of July 2015 at ten to ten in the evening. I have four brothers and four sisters, my mum's name is Piper and my gran's name was Cara. I now live with Derek in Edinburgh, Scotland and we are Thunder Buddies for life. I can sit, lie down, stay, ignore the food, look at me, touch a hand and my favourite is I can play fetch. I love chicken and will do anything for it. I love to chew string

  1. Yes I know exactly… Ive been teaching your mum to speak and she has started to speak when she feels like a treat. With the idea of getting a whole packet in one evening.. Not a chance… Too much chicken or treats will slow you down as your belly reaches the ground…moderation is a must Ted…
