Wow I’m loving this walking business though if you’d have asked me yesterday he reckoned I had to come home cos I was gonna fail. I mean it was windy and there was all sorts of stuff blowing around and yes I was a bit distracted …chase the paper… so we went back in to play tug and chase round the kitchen. …today was the dog’s blogs…
We got off to a good start and I’m walking perfectly on a lead now, no matter how fast or slow he walks. He got me a harness cos he thought I would choke but I don’t mind I’ll pull and pull even if I am choking …take him for a walk… but truth be known the harness is great and we got the walking bit off to a tee.
We made it all the way to Spylaw park and I was having a great time playing fetch …chase the ball… when two hundred and fifty kids and parents from Longstone Primary School descended like a tribe of excitement and fun. …clicker train the children… I was on best behaviour and didn’t run around mad jumping like a bouncy ball on springs and said hello and was really calm. Obviously I couldn’t take a photo but there were lots of pictures taken off me by the picnicking admirers. He calls it the “Ted Effect” and they all loved me and were asking lots of questions like “am I the Andrex Puppy?” …chew the paper…what’s that smell?…
We then headed off down the Water’s of Leith where I met more dogs and I showed good dog etiquette and said hello properly and met some new friends. I did manage to catch the names of Brodie and Codie and some photos of us being dogs. …sniff sniff sniff… they were cool…
Crossing the bridge that spanned the river and I saw a spaniel splashing about in the water …play in the water…better than baths… and he read my mind …train him with my Jedi puppy eyes... It was my first time and I wasn’t a scaredy cat like him cos he never went in, but I did and I loved it, didn’t even notice it was cold …find the stone he threw in…
So all in all it was a brilliant day and hello to everyone …chew the new friends… I met today and please leave a comment and say hello
