I’ve had a bit of a rest today, he has some half baked idea that we, including humans, do our best learning after we have practised. You know how it goes, you practise something till you can’t any more, you give it a break, could be for days or weeks and when you come back to it, it’s like magic and what you were practising that seemed so hard becomes easier. …just like chewing… I think he’s got high hopes for me and being a puppy he says it’s no different. I need a rest to let my …fetch the ball… brain catch up.
So I was a bit bored, day dreaming of chicken when we went out on the balcony. I love the balcony now even though I was a bit unsure when he first showed me it. I ate a dead leaf and then discovered chives …chew the taste… and then I played fetch and boy am I getting good at giving him the ball …chase chase chase the bouncy ball… even though he’s never taken it off me I love giving him it to throw.
After he picked some chives to take back in the house and I don’t know why he makes me do it, cos it’s so hard when there is exciting things on the other side of doors but he makes me sit even though he can clearly see that all I wanna do is test these super fast puppy legs of mine, straight through that door …is it chicken?… and so I munched on some chives and then licked a basil leaf to death.
Don’t tell him that I would do tricks for herbs!!! I want chicken and those other yummy things, he likes to mix it up.
So I am cooped up in this kitchen till I’ve had all my jags from the vet and then wait a week. So my first day of getting out and about to smell and taste more stuff is the 19th of this month. I know he can’t wait cos the only way to exercise me is to make me chase the ball on the string in circles. …catch the chicken…ball… He say’s I’ve got to be nice to chickens …chase chew chase chew… it’s so confusing.
